Passing Contact Info From Multiple Infusionsoft Accounts

Ever have a need to pass your contacts from one Infusionsoft account to another Infusionsoft account? Ever try and run into big cost or tedious API programs? Well here isan eas-to-use trick ot do it FREE.

  1. Setup your ‘Campaign’ in the account that holds the Receiving Site.

  2. In the Receiving Site Infusionsoft ‘Campaign’ you will need to lay out the following items:
    [Partner 01] Webform -> Receive Sequence ->

    Sharing Infusionsoft-to-Infusionsoft-

  1. In the Sending Infusionsoft setup a ‘Campaign’.

  1. In the Sending Infusionsoft ‘Campaign’ you will need to lay out the following items:
    [Sending Parts] Tag -> Send Sequence -> Affirm Sequence

    Sharing Infusionsoft-to-Infusionsoft-

Now that you have the shell in place and set to go we will begin setting up the cool parts.
  1. Sharing Infusionsoft-to-Infusionsoft-You will open the [Partner 01] ‘WebForm’ on the Receiving Site Infusionsoft and copy the ‘UnStyled’ code from the ‘Publish’ tab. This will be used in just a minute in the Sending Infusionsoft.

Your code will look something like this (Save it as a text or html file on your desktop for use)

<form accept-charset="UTF-8" action="INFUSION" class="infusion-form" method="POST">

<input name="inf_form_xid" type="hidden" value="##########" />
<input name="inf_form_name" type="hidden" value="FORMNAME" />
<input name="infusionsoft_version" type="hidden" value="#.#.#.#" />
<input name="inf_field_FirstName" id="inf_field_FirstName" />
<input name="inf_field_Email" id="inf_field_Email" />
<input type="submit" value="Submit" />
</form>

  1. Sharing Infusionsoft-to-Infusionsoft-In the Sending Infusionsoft ‘Campaign’ [Sending Parts] make the starting ‘Tag’ and name it ‘Send To (Partner Site Name)’. You will use this ‘Tag’ on any ‘Order Form’ or ‘Action Set’ to setup their membership.

  2. Sharing Infusionsoft-to-Infusionsoft-Now in the Sending Infusionsoft ‘Campaign’ [Sending Parts] ‘Send Sequence’ add an ‘HTTP Post’.

  3. Sharing Infusionsoft-to-Infusionsoft-In the ‘HTTP Post’ you will add the Form action="url" as the post url and add the following pairs from the code you saved in Step 5( ~denotes merge fields~ to be entered ):

inf_form_xid
=
##########

infusionsoft_version
=
#.#.#.#

inf_field_FirstName
=
~Contact.FirstName~

inf_field_Email
=
~Contact.Email~
  1. Sharing Infusionsoft-to-Infusionsoft-Save this and back out to the Sending Infusionsoft ‘Campaign’ and go to your [Sending Parts] ‘Affirm Sequence’, once in there add a ‘Tag’ and make the tag name ‘Sent To (Partner Site Name)’.

Great so far, you now have it ready to send out the member and the receving [Partner 01] side to process them. Your next steps will be to get in place the receiving ‘Web Form’ to get their data back including their new password.
  1. Go to your Sending Infusionsoft Admin -> Settings and add a custom field to receive the Receiving Site Password. For this example we will use ‘MemberPass’.

  2. Sharing Infusionsoft-to-Infusionsoft-In the Receiving Site Infusionsoft ‘Campaign’ [Partner 01] ‘Receive Sequence’ you will add a ‘Tag’ and name it ‘Received from (Partner Site Name)’.

  3. Sharing Infusionsoft-to-Infusionsoft-In Receiving Site Infusionsoft ‘Campaign’ go to the [Partner 01] ‘Return Post Sequence’ and add an ‘HTTP Post’.

  4. Sharing Infusionsoft-to-Infusionsoft-In the ‘HTTP Post’ you will add the following pairs from the code you saved in Step 8( ~denotes merge fields~ to be entered ):

inf_form_xid
=
##########

infusionsoft_version
=
#.#.#.#

inf_field_FirstName
=
~Contact.FirstName~

inf_field_Email
=
~Contact.Email~

inf_custom_MemberPass
=
~Contact.Password~
Well, you are now ALL DONE and you can ‘Publish’ your campaigns and start using them. Happy Selling To You!

    Hello Josh,
    I set things up the way your post explained and for some reason it does not seem to have passed the information through the form 🙁

    I know this post is at least a year old, so could you let me know if this method is still working for you or not?

    Thank you!

    This is really cool Josh. Just curious about one thing – as I understand it, Infusionsoft forms don’t allow multiple submissions from the same IP address within 5 seconds of one another. Is there a chance that the http posts will fail if to many contacts are processed at the same time? Forgive me if I missed the answer somewhere above. Thanks!
